This individual will form a core part of the Global Finance team, within the FinOps subteam and will be responsible for the monitoring of our proprietary payment system ensuring a proper flow of the funds from guest to host. This role will be based in Portugal but will be working for all our Global markets. 

Job Duties:

  • Daily monitoring of outstanding amounts to receive from multiple platforms for confirmed reservations
  • Daily reconciliation of incoming and outgoing transfers within the payment system (identifying misconfigurations and miscalculations)
  • Identification of flaws and improvements needed on the flow to ensure the minimum delay in the payouts
  • Support the other global team members in daily queries regarding pay-ins, payouts and refunds
  • Working directly with multiple payment processors
  • Assist in ad hoc analyses for Finance or other teams
  • Any other tasks as required within the Finance Team
  • Adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures and suggest improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions

Requirements

  • Experience in the Tourism industry and familiarity with the financial flow of the major platforms (Booking.com, Airbnb etc.) is a must have
  • Previous experience working with payment processors (Stripe, Revolut etc) 
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (C1/C2)
  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable navigating cloud applications
  • Analytical, problem solving mind 
  • Detail oriented, with a strong focus on quality
  • Able to multitask, prioritise in a fast paced environment
  • A proactive hands-on attitude
  • Willingness to learn and develop self
  • The ability to work with the highest ethical and professional quality standards
  • Previous experience working in a startup environment would be an advantage
